Inventory of Revenues and Expenditures of the Foča Waqfs

From 1865 to 1874

Abstract

On the basis of the data from the Foča court register, the paper brings a calculation of revenues and expenditures of the Foča waqfs. This court register, covering the period between 1868 and 1875, is the only saved court register of this qadilik. It is kept at the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. Most of the buildings mentioned were built mainly by the end of the 16th century.

This translation gives information about the status of the Foča waqfs and their operation in the late 19th century.
